Situation

Read and File Scan rights are not set on distributed Application Object's files when "keep same source path" option selected.

Resolution

For ZSM7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 Server Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 3a, available at https://download.novell.com

For ZSM6.5 SP2: fixed in ZENworks 6.5 Server Management SP2 IR1a or newer found at https://download.novell.com.

The SOURCE_PATH variable currently needs to be a mapped drive to work sucessfully.
The 'Keep the Same Source Path' option was designed to be used with mapped drives as the SOURCE_PATH.
