Environment

Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9
Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
Novell NetWare 6.5

Situation

After NSS volumes are moved from a NetWare server to SUSE Linux server, the trustee rights do not show for the LUM enabled users.

Resolution

At a command prompt (with root login) on the Linux server type the following command:
ncpcon nss resync=<volume name>

Additional Information

On a NetWare server the trustee rights for NSS volumes are stored in the file system itself. Linux servers require an xml file to store the trustee rights. The command "ncpcon nss resync=<volume name>" creates the needed xml file for trustee rights information.
