Situation
Launching
Internet Explorer outside of NAL allows the TIF viewer to display
images correctly
When NAL is used to launch IE (either with a simple application or a web application), a TIF viewer is not displaying images

Workaround:
In the same app object that is launching IE, define the TMP and/or
TEMP user environment variables from underneath the Run Options /
Environment Variables tab. These can be set to any short directory
name (ie, c:\tmp) as they will only be used for this
application.
Additional Information
NAL is passing
the TMP and TEMP user environment variables as their long path (ie,
c:\Documents and Settings\Mike Gord\Local Settings\Temp) instead of
passing the short directory name - also known as the 8.3 name -
(ie, c:\Docume~1\MikeGo~1\LocalS~1\Temp).
