Install cache is not deleted when application is unassociated and uninstalled

Environment

Novell ZENworks Desktop Management 6.5 - ZDM6.5 Application Launcher (NAL)
Novell ZENworks Desktop Management 7 - ZDM7 Application Launcher (NAL)

Situation

If an application is marked "force cache", then the files needed to install are copied to NALCACHE: if the application is unassociated and uninstalled, these files should be deleted. Sometimes these install files are left behind, even though the other files for the application are deleted.

Resolution

For ZDM7: Fixed in ZENworks 7 with SP1 Desktop Management, available at https://download.novell.com

For ZDM6.5: Fixed in Novell ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management Support Pack 2 Interim Release 1 - see KB 3665027 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management" at https://www.novell.com/support

Additional Information

This problem only arises if the source files are marked read-only: the attribute is copied with the files, and a normal delete cannot remove them.
