The ZDM Inventory Storer process is unable to insert scanned workstation information into the Sybase database due to a "New Line" character in the scanned information. In this case, the program on the workstation scanned that caused the storer to fail is entitled"Accelerated Reader".
"Error in parsing: Section at the offset xxxxxxxx may be incorrect" may appear in the Inventory log files.
Resolution
This issue was fixed with the scanner on the workstations. After patching the workstation with the patch listed below, the Scanner now does to check on each string for a "new line" character and replaces it with a space or truncates the string after the first new line. This allows the Storer to process and insert the information into the database correctly.
