Reinstall licensing

Resolution

To reinstall licensing, follow these steps:

1.  Load  NWADMIN or iManager. You should see an object similar to Novell NetWare 6 Server + 650. Check the details of the certificate under these objects, and verify there is no server assignment.

2.  Delete the certificate under this container. Delete the container and the NLS_LSP_SERVERNAME object.  At this point there should be no license objects for this server.

3.  Verify the obituaries have purged by Loading DSREPAIR -A | Advanced options menu| Check External References (wait till the license do not appear in the log file before reinstalling them).

4.  After the obituaries have purged, on the server console type "SETUPNLS".

Authenticate as admin or equivalent using the "admin.context" syntax and allow it to make modifications. (This will create NLS_LSP_SERVERNAME)  Once this completes, go into iManager and reinstall the licenses (See TID  7000769 for more information).

At this point licensing should be resolved. If is still not working, down the server and rename the three SERVCFG.* files in C:\NWSERVER.

Additional Information

Licensing object is corrupt.
