Environment
Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2)
Situation
After making a change to a cluster resources or creating a new
Cluster resources the resources would stay in a "NDS SYNC"
state. Restarting edirectory or rebooting the cluster would
sometime remove the "NDS SYNC" state.
Resolution
Cause:
During cluster installation the installer manually typed to cluster name and context with incorrect case.
Fix:
Modify the /etc/opt/novell/ncs/clstrlib.conf file to be the correct case for the cluster name and context that edirectory shows.
Example:
...
p8
S'cn=cluster,o=novell'
p9
...
You will have to modify this on all cluster nodes and then reboot each node. You can do the reboot one node at at time to ensure cluster availability.
