SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11: Create a Flexible, High Performance and Highly Available Filer, Advanced Technical Training, Course 9222

Course Overview

In this course, you configure SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 to be a flexible filer for both SAN (using iSCSI) and NAS (using NFS and Samba). You will learn about technologies such as LVM, MD RAID, NFS, Samba, the iSCSI Enterprise Target, Open-iSCSI, Corosync/OpenAIS, Pacemaker, the Distributed Replicated Block Device (DRBD), Cluster LVM, and network card bonding (trunking).

Training Level: 4 - Advanced

Duration: 4 Hours

Key Objectives

During this course, you learn the following:

  • How to create a flexible, high performance filer
  • Install and configure HA Clustering in SLE11
  • Configure networking
  • Configure MD RAID
  • Configure replicated clustered storage with DRBD
  • Configure LVM for the Cluster
  • Configure a Highly Available Storage Server

Audience Summary

This course is intended for anyone that would like to learn how to create a flexible, high performance and highly available filer using SLE11. Those interested in learning more about how to configure different aspects of HA clustering on SLE11, such as DRBD, could benefit from this course as well.
