Course Overview

In this course, students are introduced to the fundamental skills of installing and configuring ZENworks Mobile Management and how to enroll and manage supported mobile devices. Students also learn how to create corporate mobile applications, how to create shared files, and how to create policy suites including compliance management.

  • Describe the benefits and functionality of ZENworks Mobile Management
  • Identify the servers that ZENworks Mobile Management uses: LDAP Server, ActiveSync Server, SMTP Server, MS-SQL Database Server.
  • Complete pre-installatin tasks: install and configure IIS, configure IIS for SSL communications, install and configure Microsoft SQL Server,install SQL client on IIS server, ensure external DNS name is assigned to the ZMM server, configure firewalls
  • Install, update, and configure ZENworks Mobile Management
  • Create database maintenance tasks
  • Define administrator roles and create users
  • Enroll devices
  • Create mobile applications, shared files, and policy suites
  • Configure compliance management

Course Prerequisites

Students taking this course should have basic familiarity with Windows 2008 Server including IIS management and Microsoft SQL database management. Mobile device operating system experience (iOS, Android) is also required.
