This course will teach students how to use PlateSpin Protect and PlateSpin Forge since they are essentials the same excpet for packaging. The student will learn how to implement consolidated workload protection of physical and virtual Windows and Linux workloads without disrupting the operation of the workload. See how to provide recovery speed and data synchronization levels that approach high-end clustering solutions at a fraction of the cost. This solution allows you to protect workloads that you have never been able to protect in a cost-effective and time-effective manner to both VMs and Images. You will learn how to provide disaster recovery plan testing in a easy and cost-effective manner.

Key Objectives

The key objectives are to understand what PlateSpin Protect can be used for to enable better ways to provide backup and disaster recovery solutions in your environment. We will address the product features and then use labs to learn how to provide a failover VM in case of production failures of a physical or virtual workload. You will learn how to then failover the workload to the protection VM as well as how to fail the workload back to the original source VM or physical machine after the problem is fixed.
