This course  will provide attendees with skills that cover installation, configuration, and use of PlateSpin Protect 10.2 and Forge to protect workloads in your network as well as   basic support techniques and tools used to troubleshoot common problems encountered with the protection process.

Audience Summary

This course is designed for network adminstrators who are responsible for managing server workloads.

PlateSpin Protect is aimed at larger enterprise customers who need a highly-scalable, customizable workload management solution.

PlateSpin Forge is aimed at smaller customers with fewer workloads to manage.

Course Prerequisites

Before taking this course you should have the following:

  • Strong background in basic IP networking concepts such as IP addressing, subnet masking, ports, DNS, DHCP, routing, and NAT routing

  • Basic familiarity with Windows server management tasks, such as adding server roles and managing services

  • Basic familiarity with virtualization concepts; experience with VMware ESX or ESXi is helpful, but not required
