Course Overview

This course looks at Linux User Manager from the support perspective. First, the need for LUM enablement on OES is covered and how LUM is configured in an OES environment. Then, students will learn about issues that affect LUM functionality from the eDirectory side as well as from the Linux side. On the eDirectory side, issues such as LUM schema extensions, and correct LDAP configuration are covered. On the Linux side, issues such as Pluggable Authentication Module configuration and LDAP communication are covered. Upon completion of the course, students will understand the need for LUM and how it functions in the eDirectory / Linux OES relationship.
