- The purpose of this course is to
- explain the migration process at a high level (planning, preparation, implementation, post-migration) and some best practices explain high-level differences between Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES),
- and to provide an overview of SLES management tools and skills
The target audience for this course consists of RHEL administrators who need to migrate their servers and applications to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11. * Prerequisite skills and knowledge are:
- Experience with Linux server installation and management *
After taking this course, the target audience should be able to
- Plan for, prepare, and implement a migration from RHEL 5 to SLES 11
- Be familiar with configuring and managing a SLES 11 server
