Javier Colado

Javier Colado serves as President, General Manager of Novell EMEA. He is responsible for the full range of Novell sales and consulting business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mr. Colado joined Novell in 2006 as Vice President and Area General Manager for the Area West in Europe. In September 2008, he became Vice President and General Manager, Partners. While serving in this capacity, Mr. Colado was responsible for driving channel strategy, identifying and recruiting new partners and championing internal transformation. Previously, Mr. Colado spent six years at McAfee, where he served as SVP for the Service Provider and Mobile Division, focusing on the main Telcos, Service Providers and Mobile Operators both to fulfill their security needs for their different Networks as well as to enable them to offer Security Services to their customers. Prior to taking that role he was a Regional VP in EMEA during many years covering many different countries. He also spent more than eight years with AT&T/Lucent Technologies. During this time, Mr. Colado worked as the Director of the Global Commercial Markets business unit for Spain and Portugal, and as the Managing Director for Channel Partners. With more than 19 years of experience in the IT industry, Mr. Colado provides a wealth of leadership experience and delivers a proven record of driving growth and innovation.

Mr. Colado holds a Master's of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Politcnica in Madrid. He also studied Economics at Universidad Autnoma in Madrid. He has also completed the PDG Executive Program at the IESE Business School and the General Management Program (GMP) at the Harvard Business School.
