The tftp directory contains files such as configuration files and binaries used by ZENworks to perform imaging tasks. The directory is located on the Imaging server in /srv/ on Linux and in installation_path\novell\zenworks\share\ on Windows.
ZENworks 11 allows you to replicate the changes made to the tftp directory on other Imaging servers (Primary Servers or Satellites with the Imaging role).
You can configure the replication settings at three levels:
Management Zone: The settings are inherited by all device folders and devices, except where device folder or device-specific settings are configured.
Device Folder: The settings are inherited by all devices contained within the folder or its subfolders. If you are configuring the settings here, you need to click
before you can select any of the settings.Device: The settings apply only to the device for which they are configured. If you are configuring the settings here, you need to click
before you can select any of the settings. To replicate the changes made to the tftp directory from the Primary Server to all the Imaging servers (Primary Servers or Satellites with the Imaging role) in the Management Zone:
In the tftp directory changes you want to replicate on all other servers in the zone.
field, specify or click to browse for and select the Primary Imaging server whoseEnsure that there is no circular dependency on the selected Primary Server. For more information on how to resolve a circular dependency, see the ZENworks 11 Preboot Services and Imaging Reference.
NOTE:If you choose a Linux Imaging server as the master Primary Server, ensure that all the files that are manually added to the /srv/tftp/ directory on the master Primary Server have the zenworks ownership. To change the ownership of a file to zenworks, use the chown zenworks:zenworks filename command.
(Conditional) If you do not want to replicate the tftp directory changes on any server in the zone, click in the pane, and select the server to be excluded.
The server is added to the Excluded Servers list.
Configure the schedule when you want the tftp directory changes to be replicated on the servers. You can set up a schedule and as well as immediately start the replication.
To immediately trigger the tftp directory replication, click in the field.
NOTE:Even though the TFTP replication is triggered immediately, the content is replicated to the Primary or the Satellite server, only when the content replication schedule is triggered for the respective server.
To set up a schedule:
In the
field, select one of the following schedules:Fill in the fields.
For details about the fields, click the appropriate schedule listed above.

.The tftp directory changes are replicated on all the servers in the zone except for the servers that are in the Excluded Servers list.
NOTE:The imaging content is replicated on the Satellites as per the Content Replication schedule.
(Optional) To view the replication status, click
in the field. The status is displayed in the Replication Status dialog box.
If two TFTP replication tasks are consecutively performed on a device and if the second task is triggered prior to the completion of the first task, only the changes in the last triggered replication (which is cumulative of the first and the second tasks) are applied on the device.
