Sentinel Pricing Overview

The base Sentinel offering provides the core components of the Sentinel technology and including:

• One Sentinel server (server, correlation engine, console)
• 25 collectors for Microsoft Windows servers
• 100 Collectors for Novell Product events
• Five named users for Crystal Enterprise XI
• The Novell Sentinel PCI Solution Pack is sold separately from the Base and includes correlation rules, reports, and associated Sentinel content to address 21 specific aspects of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)

*Note: A subscription to Advisor Exploit Detection is sold separately from the Base Maintenance.

Sentinel Collectors

Sentinel Collectors are categorized by the type of system to be integrated, as follows:

• Type I — Single server operating system, application, database, security or network device (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Server OS, Database, Router and so on)
• Type II — Desktop application or Operating System (Virus Scan, personal firewall and so on)
• Type III — Application or output from a vunlerability scanner
• Type IV — Mainframe, mid-range applications, per LPAR, or enterprise applications such as ERP

Novell Operating Systems and applications are classified as Type I devices with the exception of Novell SecureLogin, which is Type II.
