進行 PlateSpin Protect 的一般安裝需要下列軟體元件︰
資料庫伺服器︰ PlateSpin Protect 可與 Microsoft SQL Server 2008 及 SQL Server R2 配合使用。如果您沒有 Microsoft SQL Server 2005 或 2008 R2 資料庫伺服器，可以使用 PlateSpin Protect 軟體套裝隨附的 Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition 資料庫伺服器。
PlateSpin Protect 伺服器︰ 實際的工作負載保護軟體。
您可以使用 PlateSpin Protect 安裝程式 (PlateSpinProtectSetup-10.2.0.x.x.x.x.exe) 安裝這兩個元件。
這兩個元件可以共存於單一主機上，也可分別安裝到不同的主機上。
