Option Two - Linux Only Platform

The Novell Open Workgroup Suite-with Open Enterprise Server and GroupWise deployed on Linux-is priced at €103 per user or device, with maintenance at €71 per year for priority maintenance. Option Three - NetWare and Linux Platforms

Specifically, this means Open Enterprise Servers can be deployed on NetWare or Linux servers and GroupWise can be deployed on NetWare, Linux, or Windows servers.

The Novell Open Workgroup Suite-with no deployment restrictions-is priced at €141 per user or device, with maintenance at €106 per year for priority maintenance. For a 250-user organization, this option represents a 46% three-year cost savings over a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement.

*SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 is included in Open Enterprise Server. Those who own the Open Workgroup suite or Open Enterprise Server separately may run an unlimited number of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 servers to run the workgroup sevices found in Open Enterprise Server or the Open Workgroup Suite. Also, an unlimited number of SUSE Linux Enterprise Servers can be used to run GroupWise as needed.

Microsoft's Enterprise Agreement is priced at $289 per desktop per year, with a three-year minimum commitment. Though it includes software updates, Microsoft's lengthy cycle for major product revisions often nullifies this benefit.
