Analyst doing an online survey…Make a difference

Ferris Research, like many other firms, including my own at, often conduct online research to get a feel for the market. It is cheap, easy, and fast. BUT…it also has the ability to be easily influenced by passionate and engaged groups.

In this case, they forgot to put GroupWise on their survey, so Gert at asked them to make that an option, which they did.

Now, in just a few short days, GroupWise admins have been able to influence the numbers, ensuring that GroupWise has a place at the email collaboration market.

You can even see in the name how they were biased against GroupWise.

BTW, the results of the survey right now indicate that GroupWise 7 has a nearly 2 to 1 advantage over Exchange 2007 for number of companies responding.
