BrainShare limericks

March 26, 2007 11:33 am

John Sovitsky – a CNE of sixteen years standing – wrote these limericks in praise of BrainShare.

There’s a conference in Utah this week
Where Novell gives its partners a peek
At the Salt palace there,
The event called BrainShare
Has participants packed geek-to-geek.

Here at BrainShare long hours are spent
In our chairs as we strive to augment
Our tech ‘chops’ in each session
But instead learn this lesson:
It’s an awesome ass-building event!

BrainShare’s name makes it perfectly clear
It’s the reason so many are here.
So we network each day,
In a server-based way
But at night, in the pubs, beer-to beer.

While at BrainShares gone by, we saw red,
Now we’re all green with envy instead;
But if your SUSE lizard
Can make me a wizard,
Go on, Novell. Please, Geek my SLED!

Great work John!

And the one Novell would not print, despite sending it with the original batch and reminding the author later that it had been ‘omitted’:

Here at BrainShare great humor ensues
From the lingo we engineers use.
Heard a geek say, “Nice rack!”
    The booth-candy blushed back,
    “21-13-20, in U’s!”
