Here we go again! Early in the morning on the first real day of BrainShare 2010 it hardly seems real. With all of the changes this year I still anticipate the great wealth of technical knowledge and guidance over the next four days.

Over the years I have developed a deep bond with Novel, it’s products and BrainShare. So much so that I have attended nearly every BrainShare since the very beginning. Ok, there was BrainShare 2002 that I slept through because of my involvement in the 2002 Winter Olympics and then there was BrainShare 2009 that almost happened but a very conscientious Novell decided it was better to not hold the conference. Other than that I have been attending continuously for literally years.

This year I expect to see a lot of focus on technologies that not only help business to save money, but also improve productivity and regulatory compliance. Topics that have never been more important than they are today. Yes it is possible to invest in technology and save money at the same time and the smart companies will do just that.

In just a matter of hours we will see the opening keynote of BrainShare 2010 where the stage will certainly be set. I can hardly wait!

More on BrainShare 2010 later…..
