Complete Client Removal and Re-installation

A Forum reader recently asked:

“I have a user whose client crashes every time they drag a message from their mailbox to a folder in their cabinet. This is happening with the 7.0.1 client on XP Sp2. It’s only happening on one machine so I had them uninstall and reinstall the client but it didn’t help. Is their any to fix this short of reinstalling Windows?”

Try using this tool to completely remove the client:

After running it, also verify that no keys exist in the registry under HKCU\Software\Novell\GroupWise. If any are left, nuke them and then try installing the client.

I have seen a similar issue with GroupWise 6.0, and a GWCheck with “Reset Client Options” fixed it back then.
