I’ve recently tried to install Novell Teaming 2.0 from the SEL DVD 4 (November 2009) with the license-key file from the Subscriber Portal.

After executing the installer, it writes these errors:

oes2:~/Desktop/Teaming_2.0 # ./installer-teaming.linux
Installation cannot proceed without a valid license
    while executing
"tclError "Installation cannot proceed without a valid license""
    (procedure "openLicenseKey" line 13)
    invoked from within
"openLicenseKey"
    (file "/root/Desktop/Teaming_2.0/installer-teaming.linux/lib/app-installer/installer.tcl" line 4142)
    invoked from within
"source /root/Desktop/Teaming_2.0/installer-teaming.linux/lib/app-installer/installer.tcl"
    ("package ifneeded" script)
    invoked from within
"package require app-installer"
    (file "/root/Desktop/Teaming_2.0/installer-teaming.linux/main.tcl" line 7)

The installer.log contains this:

-- Installer problem: unable to load license-key.xml
-- error was: invalid command name ""
-- Please correct problem and restart the installer.

This is because the license file is slightly modified.

If you change the “ICEcoreLicense” tag to “NovellTeamingLicense” (also the “/ICEcoreLicense” at the end of the file) and the SiteScapeSignature string to NovellSignature it will work.
