This entry is part 4 of 6 in the series Customer Influence on GroupWise

There’s probably no more pressing topic for you than enabling greater mobility for your users. The whole BYOD craze has most administrators pulling their hair out trying to figure out how to enable all those personal devices and secure the organizational data that ends up on them. We received an even greater understanding of your mobility concerns during our face-to-face visits with your peers.

Of course Novell Data Synchronizer addresses some of your email mobility needs, but guided by customer feedback we’re delivering a wide range of other email mobility solutions. After talking to customers, we accelerated the development of custom web templates that let users directly access their GroupWise post offices with their Android and BlackBerry PlayBook tablets. So instead of waiting until the 2013 release of GroupWise Windermere for those web templates, they are included in GroupWise 2012 SP1–AND AVAILABLE TODAY!

To help you better prepare and plan for your mobile initiatives, our goal is to keep you updated as frequently as possible on all GroupWise mobility developments and efforts.

We also recently released Novell® ZENworks® Mobile Management, which will extend security, auditing and management support to a wide array of devices, including iOS, Android, Symbian, Windows Phone 7 and more. And later this year, we’ll release iPhone and Android apps for Novell Messenger.

Within the GroupWise team there is and will continue to be considerable activity in a variety of areas on the mobility front. To help you better prepare and plan for your mobile initiatives, our goal is to keep you updated as frequently as possible on all GroupWise mobility developments and efforts.
