Problem

A Forum reader recently asked:

“Can someone tell me how I can disable the Document tab? We don’t use GroupWise for document management.”

And here’s the response from Jim Michael …

Solution

You can do it in one of two ways:

1a. Edit webacc.cfg.
1b. Change User.Access.document=true to false.
1c. Restart Tomcat.

2a. Use ConsoleOne to nagivate to your GroupWiseWebAccess object. This is usually under your GroupWise domain container, and you can only see it in normal view, not GW view.
2b. Go to Application > Settings and un-check “Access Document Management”.
2c. Restart Tomcat.

Novell “prefers” you use the snap-ins (ConsoleOne) to update such settings, but in reality ALL they are doing is updating webacc.cfg, so to my knowledge they will support a direct edit of the snapins. It’s all the same (if you don’t make any typos …)
