Cool Solutions

Goodbye Dean…

May 27, 2014 10:00 am

As I’m sure most of you have heard by now, Dean Lythgoe is leaving Novell. Dean has been an essential member of our team at Novell for 24 incredible years.

I want to thank Dean for his contributions to GroupWise and our entire collaboration portfolio. Because of the work of team members such as Dean, GroupWise is and will continue to be the most secure, reliable email and calendaring solution on the market.

Dean was a constant advocate for you, our customers, and a regular thought leader—often pushing the rest of the team forward on new ideas and features. We will miss him greatly.

GroupWise, however, is still critical to Novell as an organization and we will be moving forward with our collaboration road map as planned.

Farewell, Dean, and good luck.

Good luck on your next great adventure. There is no doubt with your skills and abilities, you will do great things in whatever challenge is before you. I wish you well and hope that you stay in touch with all of us you have inspired to demand and become better.

  2. Where ever you may roam, keep up the good work, Dean.

We’ll miss you here at Novell, but we know that GroupWise will continue moving forward, even if it does so without Mr. GroupWise. 🙂
