Some of you might want to know about the status of the GroupWise @ Home Project. Tommy Mikkelsen, Lead Developer of the GroupWise @ Home Project, explains.

It all started with several serveys, like this one:

After reviewing those, the Groupwise AT Home Project took off during the last Open Horizons summit

During this summit, the core team members had a phone conference with people from Novell, asking into there thought about this idea.

@ the beginning of this year, the core team had a meeting, where we discussed what to be part of this project, and what to leave as is.

After that meeting, I started to due some of the ground coding for the project….

In marts, we had yet another meeting in the dev team, attracting more developers, as well as showing a prof of concept…..

And a couple of month ago, we launched the closed Beta

The Home page for this project is found here:
and is still in progress…

We expect a launch shortly after the release of GW8 SP1

Best Regards

Tommy Mikkelsen

Now that its November 2018, I think Open Horizons should release a GroupWise v18.1.0 @Home Windows Client. I keep getting asked for such a client for my customers that use GroupWise @Work and they want to also use it @Home for their personal Gmail, Yahoo, COMCAST, etc. email accounts.
