GroupWise on the iPhone

January 14, 2011 11:36 am

A customer recently submitted this question about iPhones and GroupWise.

Q: Our office employees and staff are looking into purchasing iPhones and they currently are using Blackberries. The Blackberries sync with our Novell GroupWise email system and we are wondering what steps and costs are involved in having the iPhone work in the way of syncing GroupWise and iPhone with calendar, mail, contacts…. all the current options we have with using the Blackberries with GroupWise. We are running GroupWise 7.

A: Our new Mobility Synchronizer will work perfectly for this, but you will need to upgrade to GW8, specifically GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2.

Apple has a nice tool for device management. Their free iPCU tool lets you push device configuration, remote wipe, etc.
