Novell needs to work to add the ability to “federate” GroupWise with Exchange – a lot of larger companies are federating their Exchange infrastructures for inter-company communications including calendaring / busy search and IM to IM communications.

As part of GroupWise 2012 SP2, Novell did introduce an Exchange/GroupWise coexistence solution that provides an organization the ability to synchronize their Exchange Address Book with their GroupWise Address Book and vice-versa. It also provides the ability for cross system free/busy search.

Unless I misunderstood, this should getyou a lot of what you requested here. We still do not do cross IM communications. Good idea – we will see where that might fit into our roadmap. Thanks for that feedback.
