Problem

A Forum reader recently asked:

“I’m making an XML/text driver integration where a unique counter is required. I would like to know – is it possible to update a Global Configuration Value?”

And here’s the response from Jim Willeke …

Solution

I have a sample at:
http://ldapwiki.willeke.com/Wiki.jsp?page=IDMCodeSnippets

See “Get and Increment Counter”.

You would need to use your own class for variable storage.
