Solving Application Access Problems after Upgrading to eDirectory 8.8

Problem

We upgraded root replica servers from 8.7.3.x to 8.8. The previous Novell clients were 4.91, SP3 or earlier.

Users for a long time had been accessing dirmaps for SAS, Citrix, and possibly other applications. Suddenly, they could no longer access their applications, or even log in to the dirmap resource.

Solution

Upgrade the users’ Novell clients to version 4.91 SP4. This solves the problem immediately.
