Solving a D101 Error: Can’t Connect to Restore Path as User

A Forum reader recently asked:

“I can login as myself and connect to the restore area. But when I try to log in to the restore area as a recovered user that was deleted yesterday, I get a “D101 – User not found” error.

The restore area is on a different volume on the same server. The user was deleted yesterday and restored today using the Recover Deleted Account utility. I double-checked all the settings and they match what was in the Recover area to what is in the actual account.”

And here’s the response from Tim Toepp …


Here’s what I did:

1. Unload the POA.

2. Copy over the current nwguard and wphost.db files to the Backup location.

3. Start the POA.

Now it’s possible to log in to the Backup location with that deleted account.
