SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 Geocaching

March 23, 2009 12:01 am

If you don’t know much about Geocaching, in short it’s just a big, worldwide, hide & seek game. Novell has placed eleven Travel Bugs (why 11? SLE 11…get it?…..nevermind…..) in eleven existing geocache containers in the vicinity of Novell’s Provo, Utah campus. Each travel bug has a desired destination and we’re looking for people to help get these travel bugs to where they want to go.

You can track the progress of each travel bug towards their destination by clicking on the following links which contain a map of the travel bug’s progress and a diary of it’s travels.

Travel Bug #1 going to Nuremburg, Germany
Travel Bug #2 going to Hawaii
Travel Bug #3 going to Alaska
Travel Bug #4 going to Africa
Travel Bug #5 going to South America
Travel Bug #6 going to Japan
Travel Bug #7 going to the Caribbean
Travel Bug #8 going to the Mediterranean
Travel Bug #9 going to Australia
Travel Bug #10 going to 50 US state capitals
Travel Bug #11 going to all world capitals

Each person that meets the requirements and helps move one of the above travel bugs towards it’s destination and fills out the form linked on the travel bug page will receive a T-shirt. Congratulations to Tal Pearce who won the drawing held July 1st, 2009 for a Flip Video Camcorder! Your camera is on the way!
