With GroupWise Mobile Server you can synchronize your Group Wise calendar with your phone, no problem. With Omni Riva CRM you can sync your CRM with your Group Wise /CRM Calendar folder, but not your default Group Wise calendar.
This is a problem if you only want to keep one calendar.
This assumes you have Group Wise Mobile Server installed and syncing your calendar. This only synchronizes your default calendar and not other calendars you create.
Also, you must have Omni Riva CRM installed and initially synchronized. This will create a folder in your Group Wise calendar that will synchronize to the CRM. It is designed so that you can place items in that folder and they will be synchronized to the CRM.
Just a simple Group Wise rule will solve this problem. I named my rule GroupWise Calendar Sync.
Start GroupWise rule:
When Event is: New Item and are Received, Sent, Posted, Draft (Check the Sync Start Time in Riva to see how to create the conditions.) Conditions are: Item Type: Appointment “Act on items where (Item Type is Appointment) and Due / End Date is greater than or equal to “Riva Start Date” Add Actions: Link To Folder: CRM Calendar Add Actions: Link To Folder: Calendar Add Actions: Stop Rule Processing End GroupWise Rule:
This will look for new appointments and create links to them in the CRM Calendar. Make sure you use Link to Folder so you don’t create duplicate items. It will also look for new appointments and create links to them item in the Group Wise Calendar. Make sure you use Link to Folder so you don’t create duplicate items.
Now Items are synced between calendars. When you create an Item in one it will automatically link it to the other for the given program to sync.
