University of Dundee Relies on Messaging Architects’ M+Archive to Reduce GroupWise Storage and Management Costs for 28,000 Users

One of the UK’s leading universities, internationally recognized for its expertise across a range of disciplines including science, medicine, engineering and art, is on track implementing its campus-wide email retention strategy to streamline email management costs and simplify the access of data for 28,000 users with the help of M+Archive.

Several reasons made M+Archive the top choice for school’s email archiving project:

The solution’s support of stubbing in GroupWise was decisive as it removed the obstacles for end-user adoption of archiving and allowed the IT department to eliminate the need to manage personal archives. The eDiscovery module enables Dundee to be way more efficient when producing email related to open records requests without having to resort to the time-consuming and wasteful processes used on the past.

It is a cost-effective way to contain hardware costs and improve GroupWise performance and high availability by offloading email data to more economical storage while all archives are still seamlessly available to students, faculty and staff.
