If you follow what happens on the Novell Open PR Blog you might have seen it already, but for the people that don’t……

Yesterday Enterprise Networks & Servers published a article from Joe Wagner that discusses the benefits of virtualization and the challenges that come with it. Great reading material for all that have some interest in the future of virtualization.

    Good article, thanks. The first sentence was awfully funny: “Say goodbye to underutilized hardware platforms, server sprawl and spiraling IT costs.” Uhhh, hello, now that we have a VM environment, “server sprawl” is even worse than it was before. Prior, more thought was given to “do we really need another server for this?”. Now, it’s more like, “Oh, we can just throw up another VM for that.” The server sprawl is still there, virtualized. Someone still needs to maintain all those VM’s…
