Kevin Loosemore, Executive Chairman
Kevin is a Director of Farnham Castle and until recently was non-executive Chairman of Morse plc and a non-executive Director of Nationwide Building Society. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Cable & Wireless plc, President of Motorola Europe, Middle East and Africa and, before that, was Chief Executive of IBM UK Limited. He has a degree in politics and economics from Oxford University.
Stephen Murdoch, Chief Executive Officer
Stephen Murdoch joined the Company in November 2012 and is currently Chief Executive Officer of Micro Focus. Murdoch has a 25 year track record of success in the IT industry spanning hardware, software and services. He has held senior executive positions in general management, sales and strategy with IBM and Dell. Most recently, he was the General Manager of Europe, Middle East & Africa for Dell's Public Sector and Large Commercial Enterprise business unit.
Mike Phillips, Chief Financial Officer
Mike joined Micro Focus on 7 September 2010 and started fulltime with the company on 4 October 2010. He has more than 10 years experience in financial leadership roles at publicly listed international technology corporations. Most recently, he was CEO at Morse plc, following his initial role as Group Finance Director. Mike left in July 2010 following the successful corporate sale to 2e2 in June 2010.
From 1998 to 2007, Mike was Group Finance Director at Microgen plc where he was responsible for the execution of the company's M&A activity, internal and external financial reporting, investor relations and corporate finance. During his time at Microgen, Mike played a lead role in the transformation of the company to an international IT services business with sustainable and profitable growth.
Earlier roles include seven years corporate finance work at Smith & Williamson, as well as two years at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he led the UK technology team, reporting to the global Head of Corporate Finance for the Technology Sector. Mike began his career at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co (now KPMG).
Paul Rodgers, Group HR Director
Paul Rodgers became the Group HR Director for Micro Focus in April 2008. Prior to joining, Paul was the Managing Director of a successful Executive HR consultancy business for 4 years, with clients such as Dell, Unilever, Yahoo, and Sainsbury's.
Paul has further large corporate experience having previously been the Group HR Director for Cable & Wireless and spending 17 years in IBM covering various senior roles such as HR Director for UK & Ireland; Sales Operations Director for the European PC Division and Project Management Executive within the Global Services Division. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Ulster and a Masters of Business Administration.
Jane Smithard, Group General Counsel and Company Secretary
Jane Smithard is Company Secretary of Micro Focus International plc and was named General Counsel of Micro Focus in May 2006. Ms. Smithard has worked with Micro Focus for over 15 years providing a wide range of legal services, most notably leading the efforts through the 2005 IPO. Ms Smithard is a Barrister, having been called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1982. She also has a BA(Hons)in Law, a postgraduate diploma in European Law from Kings College of London and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Martin Taylor, Group CIO
Martin has over 35 years' experience in leading global companies through IT driven change in a wide variety of business sectors and geographies. He started his career with British Airways, then 10 years with Mars, then a series of Global CIO positions with Courtaulds plc, EMI Music, Cable & Wireless, LCH Clearnet and G4S. He has also worked in senior advisory roles for the UK Government's Home Office, Tata Consulting Services and Barclaycard. He has a degree in English Literature from Cambridge University.
Nils Brauckmann, Chief Executive Officer
Nils Brauckmann is Chief Executive Officer of SUSE and has led the company since May 2011. Prior to this, Brauckmann gained more than 20 years of management and leadership experience in the IT industry serving in cross-functional and international management positions in companies such as WRQ (acquired by TAG in 2004), Novell and Siemens Nixdorf, where he started his technology career.
