By default, your ZENworks administrator controls what types of messages are stored in the local message log file. If your administrator needs to troubleshoot a ZENworks Agent issue on your device, he or she might direct you to change the log level setting so that additional information is logged. Otherwise, you probably never need to change the level.
To change the log level:
Click the ZENworks icon in the system tray.
In the left navigation pane, click Logging.
In the Applied Log Level field, select one of the following options:
Use Global Setting: Uses the message log level listed in the Global Log Level field.
Error: Logs error messages only. Error messages are generated whenever the ZENworks Agent is unable to perform a requested task.
Errors, Warnings: Logs error and warning messages. Warning messages are generated whenever the ZENworks Agent encounters a problem that might result in failure of a task.
Errors, Warning, Info: Logs error, warning, and informational messages. Informational messages are generated whenever the ZENworks Agent performs a task to show that the normal process is taking place.
Errors, Warning, Info, Debug: Logs all available messages to enable debug tracing of a problem. This level significantly increases the log file size and should be used only under the direction of your administrator.
Click Apply to apply the new severity level.
