Attribute Types

The object classes are described using one of seven types. (Product Specific and Unknown types are not documented.) Under each type, the origination of the attribute is specified: DPA, Printer MIB, or NDPS.

Mandatory

OID is known. The attribute is implemented. It must exist and should have a value.

Implemented

OID is known. The attribute is implemented. It might exist and might have a value. The functionality implied by the attribute could be limited based on printer-imposed limitations.

Supported

OID is known. The attribute might exist and might have a value. The attribute is not required.

Included

OID is known. The attribute might exist and might have a value. The attribute is not used by any Novell NDPS component

Product Specific

OID is not known. The attribute might exist and might have a value. The attribute is not required.

Unsupported

OID is known. The attribute might not exist and is specifically excluded.

Unknown

OID is not known and is outside the NDPS (NA-dps) arc.
