5.0 Test Results and Submission Procedures

YES CERTIFIED™ status is given to hardware and drivers that meet the requirements set by Novell. Drivers must be written to the current NWPA specification, and the driver/adapter/device must pass all applicable tests in the required test suites. NetWare 4.2 or later may be used for testing.

When all applicable tests have been executed and have passed, test report files must be created and submitted with all required files to Novell. Novell verifies the test results and the driver. After the test results and driver have been verified, Novell issues a product bulletin for the specified driver/hardware configuration.

Develoepr Support reserves the right to refuse approval of any driver/hardware that is determined to have significant faults such as the following:

Driver causes the server to abend or lock up under any circumstances.
Extremely slow server communication response time.
Client lock up or inability to re-attach.
Data corruption.
Incompatibility with a variety of computer hardware.

This chapter describes the procedures necessary for creating and submitting the required files. The instructions provided in this chapter assume that all required tests have been executed successfully.
