The product.txt file can be updated via the Internet or by floppy disk or flash drive.
If the TC system has Internet access, do the following:
Click the icon on the TC desktop.
Click from the main menu.
If the window appears, click .
Verify that the products.txt was updated
Click from the main menu.
Verify that the date displayed at the bottom of the window is within a 2 days of the current date.
Click .
If the TC system does not have Internet access, do the following:
Update the products.zip file.
Using a system with Internet access, download the latest products.zip from DeveloperNet to a hard disk.
Copy the products.zip file to a floppy disk or a flash drive.
Insert the floppy disk or flash drive in the TestConsole system.
Open a terminal window.
Depending on the type of media you are using, do the following:
If you have a floppy drive, type unmount /media/floppy <Enter>. If you have a flash drive, type unmount /media/disk <Enter>.
Depending on the type of media you are using, do the following:
If you have a floppy drive, type mount /media/floppy<Enter>. If you have a flash drive, type mount /media/disk <Enter>.
Double-click the icon on the TC desktop.
If the window is not displayed, click from the menu bar.
Click at the help window
Click the down arrow (↓) next to .
Select the character.
Double-click .
Double-click (for a floppy drive) or (for a flash drive).
Click .
Click .
Ensure that the TestConsole screen is in full screen mode.
The products.zip file should now be updated. The date and time information for the products.txt file will be displayed in the bottom of the testconsole window.
