1.0 About the DirXML Driver for GroupWise

The DirXML^® Driver for GroupWise^® is designed to manage GroupWise accounts and account information, and to share and synchronize user data from Novell^®eDirectory^TM to GroupWise.

2.0 Software Requirements

The driver runs locally on Novell NetWare^® or Windows* NT*/2000 servers. It requires the following:

• Novell NetWare 5.1 or NetWare 6, with the latest Support Pack
• Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 6a or later, or Windows 2000 Professional or Server with the latest service pack
• Novell Client^TM 4.81 or later for Windows NT/2000
• Novell eDirectory 8.6.2 or later
• Novell DirXML 1.1a
• GroupWise 5.5, GroupWise 5.5 Enhancement Pack, GroupWise 6, or GroupWise 6.5.
• ConsoleOne^® 1.3.4 or later, or Novell iManager 1.5 or later
  

3.0 Known Issues

The driver contains the following known issues:

• We do not recommend running multiple instances of the driver on a NetWare server.
• When the driver is on NetWare, the domain database must be located on the NetWare server where the driver is running.
• On NetWare, if you enable the driver to auto-start and it doesn't, you should move the search path (SYS:\SYSTEM\GWDRIVER) to the top of the autoexec.ncf file.
• If the uninstallation program fails, you will need to manually delete the driver files.
• If you create eDirectory users with ConsoleOne, be sure to use a ConsoleOne without the GroupWise snap-ins installed. The ConsoleOne snap-ins for GroupWise will come behind the driver and remove some vital data from eDirectory. This has been fixed in the snap-ins released with GroupWise 6.5.
• If you are upgrading the driver on the Windows platform, the installation program removes gwadj1.dll and replaces it with gwadj2.dll. You should search the system where the driver resides for additional copies of gwadj1.dll and delete these files (do not remove the copy from the \consoleone directory). If both versions of the DLL exist, the driver will use the older version.
• If you already have the GroupWise driver installed and are upgrading to GroupWise 6.5, you should install the GroupWise 2.0 driver and make the following changes to the Schema Mapping rule.

4.0 Activation Instructions

The driver must be activated within 90 days of installation or it will not run. (You must also have DirXML activated for the driver to run after 90 days.) At any time during the 90 days, or afterward, you can choose to activate the driver to a fully licensed state.
