4.5 Creating NFRAdmins and NFRUsers Groups (Conditional)

Creating the NFRAdmins and NFRUsers groups manually is necessary only if you are installing and configuring the NFR Engine in an Active Directory managed network environment that includes Novell Storage Manager.

Novell File Reporter provides administrative rights to members of these groups. The NFRAdmins group has full administrative rights, and the NFRUsers group has limited administrative capabilities such as the ability to run and schedule reports.

If you already have groups created in Active Directory, and you intend to have members of the groups perform these administrative tasks, you can skip this step and indicate the group names in Step 9 and Step 10. Otherwise, create the NFRAdmins and NFRUsers groups now in Active Directory and assign members to each group. You can create the two groups wherever you like in the domain.

IMPORTANT:When you create the groups, you must set them up as Global Security groups.
