2.2 Using Advanced Authentication

Advanced Authentication is used to further secure your login to GroupWise by adding additional authentication to your GroupWise login. Before you can use Advanced Authentication, your administrator must have it configured and you must be enrolled in an authentication method that has been set up by your administrator. For information on where to go to enroll in Advanced Authentication and the available authentication methods, contact your GroupWise administrator.

NOTE:GroupWise client versions older than 18.3 can still use Advanced Authentication against an 18.3 or later server by using UI-less methods that can be configured by your Administrator. If the method you are using requires entering a password or code, it can be appended to your GroupWise password when logging in by adding the & symbol after your GroupWise password and then entering the password or code. Example: gwpassword&aauthcode.
