GroupWise Free/Busy Service for Microsoft Exchange 2013

The GroupWise Free/Busy Service is a component of the GroupWise/Exchange coexistence solution. It enables GroupWise and Outlook users to access each others' calendar information for scheduling appointments.

This release of the Free/Busy service supports Microsoft Exchange 2013. The version that supports Microsoft Exchange 2010 is included in the GroupWise 2012 and GroupWise 2014 full downloads. For installation instructions, see Installing the Free/Busy Service.

Key Features

  • GroupWise users can perform Busy Searches on Exchange users.
  • Outlook and Outlook Web App users can use the Scheduling Assistant to display the schedules of GroupWise users.
  • GroupWise 14.0.1 and GroupWise WebAccess 14.0.1 users should contact Support to obtain a copy of the GroupWise Field Test File (FTF build), which contains two new features:
    • Busy Search range increased from 30 to 62 days.
    • Busy Search begins from the selected start date (not the current date).

System Requirements

  • GroupWise 12.0.2 or later
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010 or 2013

Download and Installation

  1. Download a copy of gw_free-busy_xxx_win_en.zip to an Exchange system Client Access Server (CAS).
  2. If your system contains more than one CAS, copy the zip file to each one.
  3. Unzip the file.
  4. Run setup.exe .
  5. Configure the service. See Configuring the Free/Busy Service in the GroupWise/Exchange Coexistence Guide for details.
