After clicking an Internet link from within a message, you can configure Messenger to display a prompt notifying you that you are about to connect to the Internet.
Click Tools > Options. For Mac, click Preferences > Options.
Click General.
Select or deselect Prompt to connect to Internet.
Click OK.
