checking
MD5 values of downloaded files
The following table lists the downloadable image names, their MD5 checksums,
and approximate file sizes. Use this table to validate that your downloaded images
are correct.

To verify downloaded file integrity,
you should check each file's MD5 values by doing one of the following:
- On a Linux* system at the shell prompt, enter the following command:
md5sum filename
where filename is the name of the file
you are verifying. - On a Windows* system, obtain a Windows-compatible
MD5-based checksum utility from the Web and follow the usage instructions for
the utility.
downloading the groupwise software:
- On
the GroupWise® 7 Downloads page, click the Download button next to a file
you want.

- Follow
the on-screen prompts to download the file to a directory on your machine or automatically
install the file.
installing groupwise
windows client
- Change to the directory where you downloaded the client, then double-click
gw700c.exe to uncompress the files.
- Browse to the location where you uncompressed
the files, then double-click the setup.exe file to begin the installation.
- Follow
the on-screen instructions until the client has finished installing.
- To
start the Windows client, click the GroupWise icon on your desktop.
linux
client
- In a terminal window at your Linux workstation, change to
the directory where you downloaded the client, then use the following commands
to uncompress and untar the downloaded file:
gzip -d gw700lnxc.tar.gz
tar -xvf gw700lnxc.tar
- In the same terminal window, become root
by entering su and the root password.
- Enter rpm -Uhf novell-groupwise-gwclient-7.0-20050803.i386.rpm.
- To start the Cross-Platform client after installation, click the GroupWise
icon on your Linux desktop.
macintosh client
- Click
the gw700macc.dmg file to download and install the Macintosh client.
- To
start the Cross-Platform client, click the GroupWise icon on your Macintosh desktop.
groupwise connector for outlook
- Change to the directory
where you downloaded the client, then double-click gw300olc.exe to uncompress
the files.
- Browse to the location where you uncompressed the files, then
double-click the setup.exe file to begin the installation.
- Follow the
on-screen instructions until the client has finished installing.
- To start
the client, click the Outlook icon on your desktop.
