Explanation:  The inventory settings for the server are stored in NDS. This error occurs if the attributes cannot be written to NDS.

Possible Cause:  The network is down.

Action:  Ensure that the network is up and the network connections are active.

Possible Cause:  There may be a problem with NDS.

Action:  Log in with administrator rights and configure the Inventory Service object property page again.
