About Basic Tasks

In ConsoleOne*, the network and its resources are presented as a set of objects that are organized into various containers, with My World at the top. In general, you perform tasks by browsing to an object, right-clicking it, and then choosing an action. The available actions depend on the type of object. For example, the Remote Console action is available only on NetWare* Server objects.

You can find objects by expanding and collapsing containers and by performing searches. You can organize and manage additional network resources by creating new container and leaf objects. You can change the behavior of network resources by modifying object properties.
