auxiliary class
A collection of attributes that can be
associated only with individual objects, not entire classes. NDS* allows this association through programs, not through NDS administration utilities.
For example, a human resources (HR) department has a need for a Number of Employees attribute associated only with managers. You can use Schema Manager to create an auxiliary class called Managers with the Number of Employees attribute. Then, using Novell APIs, the HR department writes an application that associates the new Managers class only to User objects who are managers.
